Snow.

Snow, as white as truth;

lay heaped beneath me.

And fell from the white sky,

getting caught occasionally,

in my lashes and brows.

And pooled in the hollows

of my long awakened eyes.

  1. I fel the cold especially your lines – getting caught occasionally, in my lashes and brows. We are ending summer here but very hot still and you took me to the cold of someone not to be trusted..very well done.

  2. As we enter March I am done with snow . . . now that the Iditarod Sled Dog Race has begun and headed into Interior Alaska, there is little need for the stuff. But, those first few flakes . . . white as truth? Yes.
